The 2008 Annual Conference: "Wiisookootaadiwin: Together in Nurturing Wellbeing" will take place at the Lakeside Inn. This year’s theme is Healthy Families, Healthy Communities.

Who We Are

Wassay·Gezhig was a healer who lived in this area many years ago. His spirit lives at Ash Rapids which is between Lake of the Woods and Shoal Lake, a short distance southwest of the Centre’s location. Na·Nahn·Dah·We·Igamig means “place of healing”.

What We Do

Wassay·Gezhig Na·Nahn·Dah·We·Igamig offers primary health care and preventative services combining traditional and western approaches to health and healing.

Complementary programs include a residential healing program and outpatient accommodation.

The Centre provides services in the following areas:

  • mental health & wellness

  • nutrition
  • HIV/AIDS
  • FASD & child nutrition
